How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Media 

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our Facebook page. Follow us on Facebook and allow God to inspire you through the preaching of the Gospel Jesus Christ. 

Mission Outreach
Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in serving others in and beyond our church and community. This may include visiting and praying with members or collecting donations to send to disaster areas to help affected individuals.
Youth Ministry
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of our church is recognized for their meaningful interaction with kids.
Women’s Fellowship
Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Praise Dance

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our dance ministry, where they use the gift of dance to praise God.  Our Praise Dance team performs at special church services and at programs throughout the community. 
Men’s Fellowship
Men’s Fellowship is designed to encourage and develop men of all ages. Fellowship meetings give men and young boys an opportunity to interact and participate in various activities. 
 
Special Events
Our church enjoys presenting and preserving traditional events such as church anniversary, homecoming, grandparent’s day and many others. It’s a time to fellowship in unique ways while remembering our past, celebrating traditions and embracing the future.
 

Music Ministries

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir.  These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Education & The Achievement School

We believe in teaching our members, especially our youth, and give them guidance on how to grow in their Christian walk and how to use God’s holy word to address many aspects of their lives. Bible study and Sunday School are the perfect opportunities to learn.
